Kathmandu: Popular Nepali band Nepathya has released their latest song “Karnalika Chhaila” through their official website. The music video was launched on Saturday and marks a new experiment in how the band shares its content with fans.
Unlike previous releases which were available on YouTube and other digital platforms, this time the full video is exclusively available on their official website. According to Nepalaya, the company managing Nepathya’s website, this is the first time such a method has been implemented.
Short clips of the music video are available on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, but to watch the full video, fans must visit the official website. “Rather than aiming to earn millions, our goal is to cover the website management costs through this initiative,” said Arpan Sharma from Nepalaya. “The audience response has been positive so far.”
A minimum fee of NPR 10 has been set to watch the full video. Sharma explained that this amount was fixed due to the minimum transaction limit required by digital wallet API systems. For international users, the fee is 1 USD.
